2017|Documentary
The documentary follows stories of war, survival, and the human capacity to endure life’s most extreme circumstances, told from diverse perspectives. It brings together individuals of Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian backgrounds whose experiences, though shaped by different sides of the conflict, reveal shared themes that lie at the heart of the film.
Central to the narrative is the experience of victimhood, the resilience of the human spirit in the face of brutality, and the enduring demand for accountability and justice. To this day, many of those responsible for the suffering inflicted upon these individuals and their families have never been held accountable.
Among the stories presented are those of Croatian soldiers and guardsmen who were captured by the Yugoslav Army and subjected to months of torture and humiliation in detention camps in Serbia during the war. Decades later, no one has been prosecuted for the crimes committed in these camps.
